Estimation of Nonuniform Invariant Density Chaotic Signals with Applications in Communications ?

چکیده
In this paper we compare two techniques applied to the estimation of discrete-time one-dimensional chaotic orbits: the maximum likelihood estimation and the modified Viterbi algorithm. As the second one performs better, it is used in two digital modulation schemes based on identification of chaos generator maps: the Modified Maximum Likelihood Chaos Shift Keying using one and two maps. Both have better symbol error rate characteristics than noncoherent chaos communication schemes.

Estimation of chaotic signals with applications in communications
In this paper we extend an estimation technique based on Viterbi algorithm for discrete-time chaotic signals immersed in noise. The proposed modification allows for orbits generated by maps with nonuniform invariant density to be estimated. This modified Viterbi algorithm is used in two digital modulation schemes: the Modified Maximum Likelihood Chaos Shift Keying using one and two maps. Both h...

In this paper an Importance Sampling technique is proposed to achieve blind equalizer and detector for chaotic communication systems. Chaotic signals are generated with dynamic nonlinear systems. These signals have wide applications in communication due to their important properties like randomness, large bandwidth and unpredictability for long time. Based on the different chaotic signals prope...

In many signal processing applications, an appropriate measure to compare two signals plays a fundamental role in both implementing the algorithm and evaluating its performance. Several techniques have been introduced in literature as similarity measures. However, the existing measures are often either impractical for some applications or they have unsatisfactory results in some other applicati...

متن کاملNonlinear Multiuser Receiver for Optimized Chaos-Based DS-CDMA Systems
Chaos based communications have drawn increasing attention over the past years. Chaotic signals are derived from non-linear dynamic systems. They are aperiodic, broadband and deterministic signals that appear random in the time domain. Because of these properties, chaotic signals have been proposed to generate spreading sequences for wide-band secure communication recently. Like conventional DS...
